Managed Servers (KVM VPS)

G’day,

Please note that for security and operational reasons, we’re removing these PHP versions:

• PHP 7.4 (Security Fixes ended 28th November 2022 - ie. 3 years ago)
• PHP 8.0 (Security Fixes ended 26th November 2023 - ie. 2 years ago)

We will be retaining the following versions across our fleet:

• PHP 8.1 (Security Fixes ending 31st December 2025)
• PHP 8.2 (Security Fixes ending 31st December 2026)
• PHP 8.3 (Security Fixes ending 31st December 2027)
• PHP 8.4 (Security Fixes ending 31st December 2028)
• PHP 8.5 (Security Fixes ending 31st December 2029)

Note: PHP 8.1 will be removed in 2026, not long after the removal of 7.4 and 8.0 - likely 3-6 months after.

Some machines will not yet have newer versions like PHP 8.4 and 8.5. These will be added during removals.

Our crew are available to assist you with necessary guidance and works to help with the transitions.

We strongly recommend that you upgrade websites to PHP 8.3.x as this sub-major version is mature, reliable, performant and will avoid you having to do the same work again for another 2-3 years from now. :-)
